The Challenge
Different existing decentralised MS Access databases should be brought together in order to reduce expenses for manual interaction and to remove problems with asynchrony. Besides that, many modules could only be extended with great difficulty because most configurations were hard-coded.
The Solution
A unifying client/server application was developed. In doing so, the software was also reworked from the ground up, so that it can be dynamically configured and extended so that it can also be more easily serviced by people who are not technically experienced. Besides that, the software is now better prepared for all future requirements of a meat-market software. Furthermore, workflows could be revised, making the work even more intuitive for all employees.
